Cell Glow recommends: For tendon complaints, RLT may complement a well-planned exercise programme, but it does not replace load management or diagnosis. A Cell Glow panel is practical for repeatable local sessions; do not expect light alone to heal every tendon.
What has been studied?
A systematic review assessed short-term effects of low-level laser therapy in tendinopathy and found varying results. Those studies often used focused lasers under professional guidance. Their dosage and light distribution are not the same as those of a large LED panel. The question of whether a specific consumer model improves a tendon complaint therefore remains open.
Why does a tendon require a plan?
Pain in a tendon can be caused by a change in load, a tear or another cause. Recovery usually requires a gradual build-up of strain that is consistent with the diagnosis. Simply adding light without looking at movement and load may miss the most important factor. In the event of a sudden snap, clear swelling or loss of strength, medical assessment is required.
How do you evaluate a supplement?
Choose a specific measure in advance, such as climbing stairs or sports loads, and discuss with a physiotherapist whether a light session is appropriate. Then follow the device protocol. If the function does not improve, longer exposure is not a logical automatic next step.
